Bonding of battery cells

Battery cells must be firmly bonded together with electrically insulating adhesives to achieve their performance. The challenge with these materials is a highly viscous A-component and a very low viscous B-component as well as mixing ratios of up to 100:5. To reach the best possible and longest lasting adhesion, the battery cells are pretreated with plasma to activate and clean the surface before the adhesive is applied.
